God, Are You Fair?

In the passage today we learn Habakkuk doesn’t approve of God’s plan to deal with the sins of Judah which cause Habakkuk to questions God’s decision making abilities. Our study today helps us change our incorrect perspective to the correct one – God’s. Practical thoughts are given on how we can allow God to change our perspective.

Warning Labels for Ministry

We come to the conclusion of this letter and we learn from the Apostle Paul there are times when ministry is tough. Specifically, sometimes church leadership is required to deal with divisive people who refuse to repent. Paul teaches Titus, and us today, how church leadership is to handle people if this occurs.

Grace Lived Out

Titus 3:1-8
In this passage, Paul continues to stress to Titus that healthy doctrine leads to devotion of good works. Paul sets his appeal in the context of the gospel. He reminds Titus then, and us today, that our lives used to look one way but now through the gospel we have been redeemed to look wholly different both in the Church, and in society. A healthy Christ follower and Church devote time to things that are profitable while avoiding things that are worthless.

A Teacher Called Grace

Grace is such an intregral part of any Christ follower’s life. In this passage, Paul lets us know just how much as he describes how grace is our teacher teaching us to leave our past behind us, life godly today, and look for Jesus to return in the future.

Work as Worship

Our modern day work mindset is usually go to work to earn a paycheck so I can pay my bills and have a decent quality of life. In this passage Titus, teaches us that our work has a much higher purpose. We should view our work as an opportunity to express worship to God.
