As we look back at what God has done and we look around at what is happening in our church and community, we are committing to Propel our disciple-making ministry through:
Faithful Management
God has graciously provided for Shenandoah Community Fellowship in countless ways over the last 25 years. Men, women, and children have given their time, talent, and treasure to serve others as they seek to be and make disciples. As our church has grown, we built our building in 2006 to provide worship gatherings and accommodate LIFE Groups and classroom space for a growing numbers of kids and students.
We are committing to pay off our remaining debt ahead of schedule. Through faithful management of our money, we can eliminate our debt by June 2029, which will free over $65,000 each year (in our current budget) to fuel disciple-making ministry.
WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO ELIMINATE DEBT?:
$567,000
Fervent Missions
Missions & Outreach are at the heart of Shenandoah Community Fellowship’s vision. We desire to train leaders and send people to our neighbors and the nations as ministers, pastors, and missionaries.
- We are currently partnering with Jamie and Carmen in Quincemil, Peru as they launch a new ministry seeking to spread the gospel along the intercontinental highway. They are in need of land and a community center to help reach the townspeople.
- We are entering into a partnership with Reinaldo Reyes, a church planter in Cidra, Puerto Rico. Cidra is a city of 40K people without one gospel preaching church. This will involve sending teams of people there to help as well as be a financial assistance to his work.
- We are prayerfully considering a partnership with a missions team in Madrid, Spain. Much work is needed in helping that team make connections and start building relationships, which our church can be of great help.
- The SBCV (our state convention) has approached us about partnering to help launch a Hispanic church plant in our community.
- As we continue to grow, our vision is for us to be able to launch a church plant from within our congregation.
- We desire to be more actively involved in our community here in Woodstock.
Forward Momentum
As we grow and move toward the future, there are a few items we need to consider within our church ministry:
Children’s Ministry
- This is a very important ministry of our church. Children’s safety is a priority here and there are steps we need to take to increase our safety measures.
- Also, we are quickly approaching the need of a paid children’s director who can oversee, cast vision, train and develop teachers for our kids ministry from birth through 5th grade.
Student Ministry
- We want our students to know they are an important and recognized part of this church. Having space the students can use that is student friendly says we value our students. Work will be done to enhance our fellowship hall using designated money already in our account that will create both a student friendly atmosphere and can also be converted to a much nicer space for church wide events.
Our Facility
Our building is 20 years old which brings increased maintenance costs we have not had before. We are looking at several big ticket items in the near future.
The paved parking will need to be sealed and restriped.
Replace flooring in the worship center and office area.
Replace HVAC units as needed.
- Any other updates and maintenance.

FAQ
Giving is a reflection of your heart. ” But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don’t break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:20-21)
Giving is a reflection of priorities. ” “When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you take possession of it and live in it, take some of the first of all the land’s produce that you harvest from the land the LORD your God is giving you and put it in a basket. Then go to the place where the LORD your God chooses to have his name dwell.” (Deuteronomy 26:1-2)
Giving is a privilege. “During a severe trial brought about by affliction, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. I can testify that, according to their ability and even beyond their ability, of their own accord, they begged us earnestly for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints, and not just as we had hoped. Instead, they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us by God’s will.” (2 Corinthians 8:2-4)
Giving is an opportunity to show that God is first in our lives. It’s a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. The giving of tithes and offerings reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back a portion of what He has already given us and what is already His.
